President's Challenge

Dear Friends of Scouting,

I am incredibly excited to announce that we have exceeded our $300,000 fundraising goal to build new bathhouses at Tanah Keeta Scout Reservation in Jupiter! Our friends and supporters at The Batchelor Foundation generously matched the THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS contributed! Thank you to everyone who has donated their hard earned money in effort to make this dream become a reality. We could not have done it without you. Many, many thanks from the bottom of our hearts!

The new bathhouses will be built with an up-to-date, environmentally-friendly drainage system, helping to protect the Loxahatchee River. They will also have modern comforts with fully enclosed toilets and showers (and, if you've ever used the existing showers at TK, the new ones will be like a dream come true!)  It is important that all feel comfortable while visiting Tanah Keeta. More engagement at camp helps the continual cultivation of countless exciting programs for our Scouters. The updates will open up gateways to adventure for all youth and families.

This year, the Gulf Stream Council has triumphed in membership growth, camp participation, and success of the Restoring The Village program. Groundbreaking for the bathhouses will be the long-awaited cherry on top. The Gulf Stream Council continues to prove its capability of ever-progressing opportunities for the youth in our communities, and it’s all because of Council supporters like you.
