Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)
This is a training event that introduces parents** and leaders to the skills needed to plan and conduct pack outdoor activities, particularly pack camping. A BALOO trained leader must be in attendance at each pack overnighter.
**Parents must be registered in a leader position as the BALOO trained adult for any campouts.

This training is required for any adult involved in planning a Pack campout.
Introduction of Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)
This course builds and expands on the concepts and themes introduced in Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training and provides Scouters with the confidence to take youth in the outdoors. This Program is a hands-on program that gives adult leaders a practical introduction to the patrol method of a scout-led by teaching many of the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Scouters MUST be registered in a Unit leader position to attend.
