Dr. Tom Sturrock Good Scouter Award
Dr. Tom Sturrock, a college professor, dedicated his Scouting career to the development of strong leadership which he felt was the main ingredient in providing a quality program. “Dr. Tom” was Council Vice President for many years. One of his main interests was Wood Badge training which provides advanced development for Scouters at every level, further benefiting the total youth program throughout the council. He was an Eagle Scout, a Distinguished Eagle and a Silver Beaver recipient. Dr. Tom was Scoutmaster of Troop 13, Memorial Presbyterian Church, West Palm Beach.
This award is presented annually by the Gulf Stream Council to recognize a Scouter who has made an outstanding contribution to training leaders and/or has helped enhance the Scouting program in the spirit of the late Thomas T. Sturrock.
