William H. Spurgeon III Service Award

Each year, during our Annual Restoring The Village Dinner, we come together with community leaders, supporters, and our distinguished Guest Speaker to celebrate individuals whose dedication has made a lasting impact on youth in our community.

Among the recognitions presented during this evening is the William H. Spurgeon III Service Award, honoring those whose leadership has strengthened and expanded opportunities within the Exploring Program.

About the Award

The William H. Spurgeon III Service Award is the highest level of recognition for adults and organizations contributing to the success of the Exploring Program. Established in 1971, it honors the legacy of William H. Spurgeon III, who was instrumental in founding and growing special-interest Exploring initiatives.

Recipients of this award have demonstrated visionary leadership and outstanding contributions to providing young people with hands-on, career-focused experiences that help them develop skills, confidence, and pathways to future success.
