SF Beach Cleanup

Date/Time:

Sep 16, 2017 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Location - TBD

The purpose of the cleanup is to engage people around the world to remove trash and debris from beaches and waterways, to identify the sources of the litter, and to change the behaviors that cause pollution.

Tens of thousands of individuals across the globe come together each September to participate and through its international visibility, the ICC has raised public awareness about inappropriate waste management practices and convinced many organizations and communities to become better stewards of our environment.

Through Keep Martin Beautiful's local coordination, volunteers in our area are able to beautify our beaches and coastlines by removing unsightly debris.  We are also able to help protect birds and marine life by reducing the likelihood that these innocent creatures will become injured or entangled in plastics or ingest deadly debris.

Keep Martin Beautiful invites you to be a part of the movement by joining so many others from schools, civic groups, scout troops, dive clubs, environmental groups, businesses and families in our community to be a part of the global effort here locally.
