Jamboree on The Air (JOTA) 2025 Camporee

Gulf Stream Council is hosting a Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) Camporee at Tanah Keeta Scout Camp on October 17 - 19, 2025.

Jamboree on the Air is an international Scouting jamboree that is held annually on the 3rd weekend of October to commemorate that in 1922 the first long distant amateur radio contact between a troop in London England and a troop in Sidney Australia. Be a part of the world’s largest amateur radio scouting event that promotes friendship and global citizenship. Attending JOTA will satisfy requirement 7E of the Citizenship in The World Merit Badge.

 Enjoy a great weekend of camping with your troop while learning and using amateur radios (ham radios), lashing together a radio antenna tower, radio fox hunt (find the hidden transmitter), contests, council fire, meet members from local amateur radio clubs, learn about how to become a license amateur radio operator, see demonstration of technology, get help programming your radio, FCC Testing Sessions, and more. Registration Open August 1, 2025.

Early Bird - $70.00 , until 09/19/2025, includes meals - Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner, cracker barrel, and Sunday breakfast.

Regular - $80.00, until 10/03/2025. inlcudes meals

Late - $90.00 , until 10/10/2025, include meals.

Youth and adults same price.

Approved staff by JOTA Director - $40.00

Scouts will pick one class, mornng or afternoon sessionThe overall plan is to have half of scouts in classes while the other half are on the radios. After lunch the scouts swap places, where the scouts that were on radios in the morning are now taking classes in the afternoon and these scouts that were in classes in the morning are on the radios in the afternoon.
