2010 National Scout Jamboree
The Gulf Stream Council has four contingent troops and many staff members celebrating 100 years of Scouting in style on the 2010 National Jamboree tour at Fort A.P. Hill, Caroline County, in Virginia.
Every four years, the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America organizes the ultimate Boy Scout experience, the National Jamboree! Yes, it will have been one hundred years since an “unknown Scout” helped an American businessman, William D. Boyce, to find his way through a London fog. This simple, selfless act led Mr. Boyce to bring the fledgling movement of Boy Scouting to America in 1910.
