Gulf Stream Council Welcomes New Council Commissioner Andy Flack

Andy Flack - Commissioner

Scouts and Scouters;

It is truly an honor to be selected as the next Commissioner of the Gulf Stream Council, I will work very hard to serve the Scouts of our Council to the very best that I possibly can.  Gulf Stream Council is an incredible place to be a Scout or Leader.  There are many great things for us and many opportunities to make our Council even better.  Together we will meet those challenges and take advantage of all the opportunities that we are presented.  As a Scouting Family, there is nothing that we cannot accomplish.  By doing this, we will be fulfilling our true mission and that is to bring the best possible program to the youth of this council.  That begins with our awesome team of Commissioners giving the units of our Council the best possible service anywhere in the Boy Scouts of America.  We are here looking forward to working hand in hand with our program committee to give our scouts all that they deserve.

I look forward to meeting and to serving with all of you that I have not yet met, renewing old friendships and helping in any way that I can.  Please let me know if you need anything or have any questions that you would like to have answered.  I will get you the tools and answers, or to the right person to help you serve your scouts and units.  Servant leadership is a concept that I would like all of us to embrace and practice.  We, as adults, serve the youth of Gulf Stream Council.  As long as we are guided by that concept, we can accomplish anything that is presented to us.

Here’s to a GREAT year for the Gulf Stream Council, our units and most importantly, our SCOUTS!!!

Another year has begun and the Scouting family including Packs, Troops, Crews, Ships, Teams, and Posts, continues to thrive in the Gulf Stream Council. As we make plans for 2014, there is a movement in this Council to reinvigorate the basics of Scouting:
1. By recruiting more youth and providing them with the best possible quality program.
2. By participating in Council level fundraisers to help your unit fund a quality program.
3. By training more adults in your unit to allow you to provide a quality program.

Jeff Isaac

Have a terrific year!
Sincerely,
Jeff Isaac
